Many Bollywood celebs, cricketers are helping the people of our country to fight against COVID-19. Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has turned into a real-life hero by donating Rs 20 lakh to Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) and providing ration kits to help 5000 daily-wage artists, who have been hit financially due to second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
CINTAA General Secretary Amit Behl confirmed the news and said, “Daily-wage qualified artists working across films, TV and web shows are presently struggling to make a livelihood, owing to COVID-19 -forced lockdown. Hrithik Roshan had helped us during the last lockdown too; he had donated Rs 25 lakh. This time, the money he gives us will be utilised in getting 5000 members of the association vaccinated and help members below the poverty line with ration.”
He further added, “Hrithik’s big donation is going to be of huge help to us. About more than 2,000 members will be benefited as money will be transferred to their accounts. Besides, the funds will be utilised towards providing ration kits and also for the vaccine drive.”
CINTAA has a total of over 10,000 members in India.
On the work front, Hrithik will be seen to play the lead role in popular English series The Night Manager and in Siddharth Anand’s action-thriller film Fighter along with Deepika Padukone. After Bang Bang and War, the film would mark the third collaboration between Roshan and Anand. The film is scheduled to release on September 30, 2022.
