Earlier, actor Sonu Sood (of megahit Dabangg fame) helped many migrants reach their hometowns during the rise of the pandemic. During the second wave too, Sonu again displayed an act of kindness, this time also for cricketer Suresh Raina.
Raina had tweeted seeking help, tagging UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath for an urgent requirement of oxygen cylinder for his 65-year-old aunt living in Meerut.
His tweet read, “Urgent requirement of an oxygen cylinder in Meerut for my aunt. Age β 65 Hospitalised with Sever lung infection. Covid + SPO2 without support 70 SPO2 with support 91 Kindly help with any leads. @myogiadityanath.”
Responding to Raina’s tweet, Sonu Sood wrote, “Reaching in 10 mins bhai” and tagged Karan Gilhotra and Sood Foundation.

Raina in response, thanked the humanitarian actor for the help writing, “Sonu Paji thank you so much for all the help. Big big help! Stay blessed.”
For the record, Sonu has stepped up to help people during a time of the deadly pandemic with his foundation. In fact, he is said to be helping more than 100 people a day with various things such as oxygen, plasma, blood, beds, vaccines, etc. Hope we have more Good Samaritans like Sonu. Kudos.
