In a recent interview with the famous film critic Rajeev Masand, Ranbir Kapoor could be heard saying, “It would have already been sealed if the pandemic hadn’t hit our lives. But I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal soon in my life,” when asked about his plans on marriage with Alia.
Earlier this year, an article by Rajeev Masand mentioned that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were reportedly planning to get married on December 4,2020. However, no confirmation was received about it until now.
In the interview, when Masand asked Ranbir about how he spent time with Alia during the lockdown, the actor replied, “You know, my girlfriend Alia is a bit of an over achiever and she took every class there is from guitar to screenwriting,” and added, “I always feel like an underachiever next to her.”
Apart from his relationship with Alia, Ranbir also talked about how he coped with the death of his father, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, while trying to focus on his career and personal life at the same time.
Film critic Rajeev Masand posted the link to the interview on Twitter captioned, ‘Ranbir Kapoor on losing a parent, putting off his marriage on account of the pandemic, and the fear that he may have forgotten acting’
