Raj N Sippy is the director of the famous Bollywood film, ‘Satte Pe Satta’. According to him, Hrithik Roshan would be the best choice for the lead role in the remake version of the film ‘Satte Pe Satta’ starring Amitabh Bachchan.
There is still some uncertainty present about the remake of the film.
According to the sources, the actor has already refused the role because he previously did another remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s role in ‘Agneepath’.
They added that the actor is currently focused to get cast in his father’s next film.
The Director stated – “I cannot think of a better actor for the role”.
In a recent interview, the filmmaker has stated that he thought Hrithik Roshan would be the best choice for the role of Babu.
In ‘Satte Pe Satta’, the script of the film is a modified version of 1954 Hollywood film ‘Seven Brides For Seven Brothers’.
When the interviewer asked him about the female lead, he had given a few names like Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif.
According to the filmmaker, they both are equally capable to play the role perfectly.
But still there’s no surety about the remake version of the film.
The filmmaker further stated that he cannot say anything about the film and he had given away the rights of the film to someone else.
He stated – “but the discussion on the remake has been there for quite some time”.
Sanjay Dutt was doing the remake rights of the film Ashtavinayak and they resold the rights to some other production.
The original film ‘Satte Pe Satta’ succeeded at the box office.
Sharing the experience while shooting the film, he stated that he used to have a very good working team and he gave the credits to his team only. He said that because of them he managed to achieve a lot in his life.
Sippy said that he has been very lucky, “I had a good team and amazing actors who stayed like brothers”.
He shared that when he recalled the days of Srinagar’s shooting days, he had a call time of 8 am and casted actress Hema Malini used to be on the sets on time even though she was pregnant, “We had a 19-day schedule, but we finished it in 12 days because of the unit’s cooperation”
When asked about if Ms. Ranjeeta was the first choice for the role of Seema, he said ‘yes’. She had always been the first choice for the role. According to him, at that time, her career was just on it’s peak and when Mr. Bachchan was asked about her, he simply said that he had no issues at all.
Apart from that, the rumours of the remake version of the film ‘Satte Pe Satta’ started in 2019, after Farah Khan’s announcement. In that announcement, she stated that she would be directing a film where Rohit Shetty is supposed to be the producer. But she never confirmed which film it would be.
Allegedly, now the makers of the film are trying to buy the rights of the film, first from the Indian producers then from the makers of ‘Seven Brides For Seven Brothers’.
